As a Senior Physics Programmer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing the physics systems that breathe life into our virtual worlds. You'll collaborate closely with the art, design, and gameplay teams to ensure that our game mechanics and environments adhere to the laws of physics while still delivering engaging and captivating gameplay. Your expertise in Unreal Engine 5 and physics simulation will be instrumental in shaping the realistic and interactive elements of our game.

Key Duties Include

Work on the design and development of cutting-edge physics systems for our video game project using Unreal Engine 5 Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate physics simulations seamlessly into gameplay mechanics, character interactions, and environmental effects Implement advanced physics algorithms and techniques to create realistic and dynamic movement, collision, and destruction effects Optimize physics performance to ensure smooth gameplay experiences on a variety of platforms and hardware configurations Troubleshoot and resolve physics-related issues, working closely with other engineers to find creative solutions Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to elevate the team's skill set Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in physics simulation and gaming technology, proactively integrating relevant innovations into our project Requirements Significant professional experience as a physics programmer with a proven track record of shipping high-quality video game titles Expertise in Unreal Engine Proficiency in C++ Strong understanding of physics principles and their application in interactive environments Experience with advanced physics techniques such as rigid body dynamics, soft body simulation, and fluid dynamics Ability to optimize physics simulations for performance on various gaming platforms Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment Desirable Experience with GPU programming and parallel computing for physics simulations Knowledge of mathematics and algorithms related to physics simulation and collision detection Familiarity with Unreal Engine's blueprint system for prototyping and iterating on physics interactions Passion for video games and a deep appreciation for their technical and artistic aspects Benefits 25 Days Holiday, plus 1 day for your birthday Studio Shutdown between Christmas and New Year Discretionary Bonus Scheme Private Pension Scheme Private Healthcare Health and Well-Being Benefits Dental Care Optical treatments Mental Health Support
