Experience of a junior rotational Physiotherapy post in the NHS. Experience of a broad rotational scheme including Acute medicine. Knowledge of areas of clinical governance including quality, audit and risk management. Experience of managing own caseload and prioritizing. Ability to work and interact effectively within an interdisciplinary team and contribute to decision making. Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development, and reflective practice. Knowledge and application of evidence based practice and clinical reasoning. Establish and maintain CPD Portfolio. Experience in student clinical supervision. Experience of Community Physiotherapy. Attendance at post graduate courses in related fields and demonstrates reflective learning. Knowledge of areas of influence of psychosocial and cultural factors on health/illness behaviours. Experience in supervision of junior staff. Participation in audit, research activities and development activities. Experience of undertaking Senior (Band 6) role. Demonstration of having initiated change of practice or process. Experience of emergency respiratory on-call responsibilities. 2. EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Current registration with Health Professions Council. Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy. Evidence of CPD in the form of a detailed personal development portfolio. Membership of professional special interest group. Field work/clinical educators course. Specific formal courses appropriate to post speciality. 4. SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
Able to apply a range and depth of knowledge to the specialist clinical area of post. Able to make sound clinical decisions based on knowledge/experience and utilize advanced clinical reasoning skills. Able to carry out a range of assessments and procedures in order to make clinical assessments and diagnosis. Able to carry out manual therapy techniques and therapeutic handling, requiring skilful and strenuous physical effort during the day. Awareness of limitations of own professional abilities. Clear, concise verbal and written communication to ensure liaison with multi-disciplinary team, patients and carers to ensure records and reports are accurate, legal and in legible manner (in English). Ability to integrate, participate and contribute as an effective member of a team. Ability to self-direct towards the attainment of clear goals. Ability to prioritise tasks and functions against well-reasoned standards. Positive response to constructive criticism.
