JOB- Senior P&ID Designer
LOCATION- Stanford-le-Hope, Essex
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- 45,000 to 55,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Premier Engineering is seeking a skilled P&ID Designer to join a forward-thinking team. The role focuses on developing high-quality Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for engineering projects across a variety of industries.
The P&ID Designer will ideally have the following attributes:
Proven experience in creating P&IDs, ideally within industries such as process, oil & gas, manufacturing, or engineering
Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or similar tools
Strong understanding of process engineering principles and symbology
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., ISO, ASME, or API)
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality diagrams
Strong communication skills for collaborating with engineering and project teams
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
The P&ID Designer role will involve:
Creating and updating Process and Instrumentation Diagrams for various engineering projects
Collaborating with process engineers and project teams to gather requirements and ensure accurate representations
Ensuring all diagrams comply with industry standards and project specifications
Managing document control and revision updates for P&ID drawings
Assisting in design reviews and providing technical input to optimize processes
Identifying and resolving design inconsistencies or errors
Supporting the wider engineering team with design-related tasks as required
