We're working with a highly respected client in the nuclear and defence sectors, with over 40 years of experience delivering engineering and project management solutions to some of the most regulated industries. Our client has a proven track record in decommissioning, waste management, and comprehensive consultancy services.

As they continue to grow, they're looking for a Senior Planner to join their expanding team in Chorley. This is a permanent, staff-only position offering excellent long-term career prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

Primavera P6 expertise is essential - this tool is central to everything you'll do. Be the go-to person for Compensation Events (CE) - if you're less experienced in this area, there may be flexibility in salary. Collaborate with project managers to identify and meet project specifications, developing resource plans, project schedules, and cost estimates. Provide real-time data to ensure project schedules and financials remain on track. Produce performance reports and conduct Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis to ensure projects stay within scope. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Essential Requirements:

Primavera P6 proficiency is non-negotiable. Experience with Compensation Events (CE) and project planning is highly preferred. Eligibility for SC Clearance - applicants must hold a British passport and have lived in the UK for at least 5 years. HNC in Engineering or relevant discipline. Proven experience in planning, costing, and scheduling within the engineering or construction sectors.
