Role Definition:
Produce day to day production forecasts and plans, and manage two 4 on 4 off planners. Ensure stock is accurately reported and rotated to strict deadlines and manage the administration support for sales order processing and factory order processing. Heavily involved in procurement and stock management including sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver accurate plans to achieve customer service of 100%. Plan effectively to ensure smooth and efficient flow from Boning Hall to Despatch. Maintain forecast within the planning model to allow effective packaging/raw material planning. Ensure clearly communicated plans drive effective utilisation of resources. Manage the team to minimise stock write off of finished goods through effective planning. Constantly manage stock levels of all products to ensure stock maturation and timely product utilisation to maximise value and eliminate stock write offs. Agree, develop and monitor departmental performance indicators with the Retail General Manager. Maintain professionalism, organisation, good people skills, management and control skills, and strong personal attributes. Process Beef and all by-products to Company and Customer requirements. Ensure all legal and legislative requirements are maintained and up to date. Maximise use of products obtaining high yields and low waste. Efficiently deploy and manage departmental resources. Manage and control departmental costs effectively, including energy usage, water usage, effluent costs, and other overhead costs. Ensure best hygiene practices are adopted at all times. Maintain a well-disciplined and motivated workforce and provide appraisal and feedback for all departmental staff. Constantly review systems and procedures to ensure continuous improvement.
