Role Senior Planner

Accountabilities: Interact within project team and planning departments to develop Level 3 and Level 4 Schedules in line with Project Planning Procedure. Ensure the Project’s compliance with Contract’s requirements related to the Programme. Interact with construction to ensure live accurate data is received and reflected in programme. Liaise with procurement and expediting team for delivery of materials and equipment and communicate any potential delays or impact to programme. Be aware of the overall Programme of the Subcontractors and Vendors to be able to promptly inform of potential impacts on the Programme. Inform and analyse about any delays or about any failures to comply with the timescale of the Project and make proposals for improvements. Carry out weekly meetings with project team. Incorporate into the Programme, when necessary, the Compensation Event and Project Management Instructions. Key Deliverables: The Senior Planner will be responsible for ensuring that the Project is kept as planned by producing reports and using project management tools. The role will also develop and improve the Programme to complete the Project based on budget, work schedule, and available resources. Qualifications: Primavera P6 Base of location: Grangemouth/Montrose, Scotland Experience: Minimum 5 years project planning experience utilizing bespoke planning programs. Must have experience in Major Construction/Industrial Project planning activities preferably with knowledge of EPC delivery. Experience and knowledge of NEC Contract requirements. Experience and knowledge in MS Office (specifically MS Word & MS Excel). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Scope: Develop and improve the Programme to complete the Project based on budget, work schedule, and available resources. Attributes and skills: A positive ‘can do’ mentality. Leads by example, sets the right behaviours, demonstrates a “best for project” ethos. Is able to think laterally and flexibly to deliver solutions, with a ‘process driven’ focus to delivery. Demonstrates strong communication skills, liaising effectively with peers, other functions, delivery partner and client teams. Able to demonstrate accountability for their own actions and take responsibility.
