The Role
As a
Senior Town Planner , you'll take the lead in delivering complex and high-profile projects that shape London's urban landscape. Working at the forefront of planning and development, you'll provide strategic guidance, oversee junior planners, and engage with clients and stakeholders to deliver exceptional results. Key Responsibilities Lead on large-scale and complex planning applications and appeals. Develop and deliver strategic planning advice to clients across public and private sectors. Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and provide recommendations. Represent clients in negotiations with local authorities and at planning committees. Stay ahead of changes in planning law and policy to ensure compliance. Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative work environment. About You My client is looking for an ambitious and knowledgeable professional with: A degree in Town Planning, Urban Design, or a related discipline (RTPI membership essential). Extensive experience in planning, ideally with significant exposure to London's planning system. Strong project management and leadership skills. A proven track record in delivering high-quality planning applications and strategic advice. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities. A forward-thinking approach, with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
