Yes Job Description: Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Planner. You’ll be involved in scheduling and cost control efforts for all project phases, taking ownership and overseeing multiple projects valued between 2-25 Million USD. You will set up, maintain, and analyze actual and forecasted schedules, costs, and risks, while monitoring, reporting, and managing deviations. Ensuring projects follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with internal standard procedures, you will manage the integrated schedule and cost control performance measurement process for the project’s entire scope of work. Responsibilities: Analyze project requirements with the project team, ensuring all essential work activities are identified in sufficient detail to develop realistic project schedules. Monitor project progress and analyze project critical paths to ensure all critical path activities and project milestones are progressed according to plan, effectively communicating any deviations or scheduling issues to Project Managers. Issue progress reports, program updates, and productivity data regularly and as requested by customers and stakeholders, utilizing customer reporting portals such as Fastdraft where appropriate. Establish a baseline plan for cost performance measurement, working with the project team to define necessary resources for project completion and evaluating the work breakdown structure. Work closely with engineering, supply chain, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, clients, and contractors to identify potential changes in scope and quantify the impact of each change in a timely manner. Integrate material resource requirements with project schedule and define procurement activities and order lead times, regularly communicating with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team to ensure timely procurement activities. Participate in project reviews, compose reports, and update all required project data in Project Control systems for Management Information and Project Analysis. Effectively communicate appropriate information to customers and other stakeholders in a timely manner to achieve the desired understanding. Your Background: Proven experience as a Planner within a similar industry (preferably for EPC projects in T&D). Strong experience in project planning and scheduling, including mature scheduling methods and tools. Operational skills with robust previous experience as part of project teams. Able to advise and lead the project team regarding programme progress. Ability to communicate effectively across all areas of the business. Expert knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6. Self-motivated. Willingness to travel when required to the Birmingham office and site.
