Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is currently recruiting for a Senior Planning Engineer on behalf of a highly reputable company in the energy industry. This is a 6 month initial contract with potential to be extended, based at their Newcastle office on a hybrid basis.
The Senior Planning Engineer will report to the Planning Manager and work closely with the Senior Planner, being responsible for detailing the offshore outfitting program for a platform destined for barge loading and offshore installation. Proven experience in the use of Primavera P6 for project scheduling is essential.
Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining the project program in Primavera P6.
Providing weekly program updates and progress monitoring.
Implementing Earned Value Management principles.
Conducting Critical Path analysis.
Working closely with the Senior Planner and Planning Manager to ensure project timelines are adhered to.
Producing a weekly progress report (once the baseline program is established).
Traveling to site as required to oversee project developments and gather updates.
Key Skills / Experience Required:
Previous experience as a Planning Engineer or Senior Planning Engineer.
Proven experience in the use of Primavera P6 for planning and scheduling.
Experience in producing reports and regular program updates.
Experience with Earned Value Management.
Construction experience would be preferred (experience with offshore platforms is highly desirable).
