Within our offices in London, Chester and Los Angeles and Europe, Equals comprises of three business lines and brands - Equals Money, FairFX and CardOneMoney. About you We believe that certain skills are essential in order to be successful in this role and these are detailed below. You may not have all the other skills we have outlined as desirable, we understand that and will still welcome your application. We will carry out individual interviews for shortlisted candidates and assess who is best suited for the role after we have discussed everything with you.

Essential Skills Extensive experience in engineering backend solutions using Node.js, including building RESTful APIs and working with relational databases

Some professional experience implementing AI/ML solutions at scale

Experience integrating code with GenAI Foundation Models via AWS Bedrock

Strong knowledge of AWS services and appropriate usage patterns

Standard software engineering practices such as Git, Agile, CI/CD, TDD, etc.

Great problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to overcome challenges

Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Thorough knowledge of high-level AI concepts such as RAG, fine-tuning, prompt engineering and multi-modality

A self-starter who will take ownership of engineering appropriate solutions from conception through to delivery

A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and best practices
