We are looking for a

Senior Portfolio Analyst

to join our Projects Team at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies.

Can you absorb complex programmatic data points and turn them into a coherent and easily understandable story? Can you create reporting dashboards and lead the design and traceability of data to support decision making? If so, read on…..

Package range: £48,030 to £65,000 dependant on experience

Location:

RG7 4PR , located between Reading and Basingstoke

AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. We will consider

flexible working requests

so that your work may fit in with your lifestyle. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application. Requirement to be on site a minimum of 2-3 days per week.

Introducing the role:

This role is not ideal for applicants from a solely IT background. There’s a lot more to it:

Provision of complex analysis of governance, reporting outputs and programmatic data to track key activities, plans, budgets, issues, and risks

Analysis of the portfolio to maintain an integrated view of the key risks and issues

Recommending effective actions to mitigate risks and exploit opportunities

Analysis and evaluation of portfolio data to identify discrepancies, trends and exceptions

Tracking and highlighting interdependencies and conflicts between business as usual and the portfolio and recommending courses of remedial action

Leading reporting from programmes and projects and provides analysis, insight and recommendation of decisions for improved performance of the portfolio.

Monitoring portfolio risks (threats and opportunities) and escalate as appropriate.

Using programmatic data to develop predictive analytics to optimise project performance.

We need our Senior Portfolio Analysts to have some of the following experience or qualifications:

Project reporting, cost, planning, governance, risk, or analytical skills

Managing successful projects or programmes

Working in a project or programme management office

Analysis and extrapolation of complex data sets

Digital reporting and analytical solutions

Membership of a relevant professional body

Managing Successful Programmes

Management of Risk

APM Project Planning, Monitoring & Control

Experience developing analytics using various reporting and analytical tools (e.g. Power Bi and Foundry)
