Embark on an exciting journey by joining our Children in Care Team 4 as a Senior Practitioner - Social Worker in Durham. With an hourly rate of £32.35 and the opportunity to work full time, this ongoing position offers you the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children who are looked after. You will play a pivotal role in guiding children aged 0-18 years through challenging times towards a brighter future. Our office is located in Pity Me, Durham, where you'll be encouraged to participate in team meetings and collaborate at least 1-2 days a week. What you will do: Work directly with children and young people in care, providing them with the support and guidance necessary to overcome trauma and transition smoothly into adulthood. Manage a caseload of approximately 22-25 children, ensuring that each case receives the attention and dedication it deserves. Collaborate closely with our specialist teams to address a variety of challenges including emotional wellbeing, risks of grooming, exploitation, or going missing. Participate in monthly case and personal supervision sessions, receiving constructive feedback and support for your professional development. Contribute to team meetings, sharing insights, experiences, and strategies to improve care outcomes for children. Coordinate and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child, ensuring they receive the best possible support and resources.
