I’m looking for a senior practitioner to work at Tameside Council. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact while earning a competitive hourly rate of £39 per hour.
As a Senior Practitioner, you’ll: Take a leading role in managing complex cases and safeguarding children. Provide expert guidance and support to social workers in the team, ensuring high standards of practice. Lead on assessments, care planning, and interventions to secure positive outcomes for children and families. Work closely with families, multi-agency partners, and other professionals to deliver coordinated services. Contribute to the development of best practices and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
What We’re Looking For: Qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration. Substantial experience in children’s social care, including handling complex cases. Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, procedures, and best practices. Proven ability to mentor and support team members to achieve excellence. Exceptional communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
