An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Full time Senior Practitioner (Qualified Social Worker) to join the NST Eastbourne and South Wealden Neighbourhood Support Team. We are based at St Marys House, Eastbourne and our working pattern is a mix of remote and office based working practice.

You will be part of a busy, dynamic and established team. Your role will include covering the Safeguarding duty rota, supervision support of staff, leading on complex case discussions and covering case work rota. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop your practice to encourage a holistic, person-centred approach which is at the heart of what we do.

Safeguarding Adults is a major part of the role, where you will be risk assessing initial concerns and overseeing the management of Safeguarding Enquiries, and fostering an outcomes approach to Safeguarding work.

This is a fast paced, exciting role, for a practitioner who can apply critical reflection and analysis to maintain, develop and apply a range of effective judgements. You will bring to the role an excellent ability to communicate, manage change effectively and demonstrate your ability to be resilient under pressure.

You will have an opportunity within the NST team to provide supervision to Social Workers and Resource Officers, managerial oversight of complex case work where required, whilst striving to provide positive outcomes for people with assessed care and support needs.

The ideal candidate will be able to promote and provide guidance and challenge on positive approaches to diversity in the organisation, the principles of social justice, social inclusion and equality decision making.

You will be able to demonstrate a wide range of Safeguarding experience and an ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should have an in-depth experience of risk assessment, complex case management work, and have a good knowledge base and understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Safeguarding Adults Policy and Procedures.

You will hold Social work qualifications, are registered with the professional regulatory body and hold Level 1 Practice Educator Professional Standards (Enabling Learning) or equivalent or willingness to undertake.
