Senior Pricing Actuary to join their UK&I Life Pricing team. The UK&I team is tasked with the management and pricing of their key protection accounts in the UK&I.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Active involvement in the tender process for new and existing opportunities, with particular focus on the UK and Irish Term Life and Critical Illness product lines
- Detailed modelling and pricing of protection deals from initial assessment through to deal execution and handover to in-force management team (data interrogation and preparation, mortality and morbidity experience analysis, demographic experience analysis, creation of the inputs for the projection of cash-flows, cash-flow reconciliation, sensitivities, checking, etc.)
- Preparing Technical deal documentation and providing support to the commercial deal lead as required (pricing reports, support in drafting sign-off memos and offer letters to clients, negotiation support.)
- Research, development, maintenance and improvements to pricing benchmarks, methodologies and tools
- Follow-up and analysis of the in-force portfolio in coordination with In-force Management and Valuation teams
- Attending face to face client meetings, assisting in developing client propositions
Qualifications
About you:
- You are a technically excellent individual with a desire to price life business and driven by a wish to add value. You ideally have the following background and skills:
- Qualified Actuary with 3-5 years of PQE or more.
- Relevant pricing experience in (re)insurance with relevant product lines
- Proven analytical skills and the ability to work on complex problems
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities effectively
- Experience in statistical software (e.g. R) and MS Office suite
- Experience with a relevant modelling package an advantage (e.g. AXIS, Risk Agility, Prophet)
- Knowledge of Life insurance and Critical Illness product lines would be beneficial
