About The Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Featherstone, a category C Prison, located in Featherstone in Staffordshire. In this role, you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed. Hours This position is part-time, working 30 hours per week, with an expectation to work 1 in 3 weekends. Salary You'll receive an annual salary up to £44,000 per annum FTE - depending on experience. Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course Competency framework Regional and national career development opportunities Our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs Support from the wider team What you'll be doing As a Senior Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will: Be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team by bringing your top-notch clinical skills and passion for care. Undertake a wide variety of tasks including screening, assessments, examinations, and tests as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency. Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery. Qualifications required Registered nurse - Adult Excellent communication skills Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working Ability to work within a busy environment Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
