About the division The Water Consultancy Division is Mott MacDonald’s centre of excellence for responding to water and wastewater challenges, offering fantastic opportunities to get involved in diverse and technically challenging work. Our multi-disciplinary teams provide a variety of services throughout the full project life cycle, from advisory services and feasibility studies, through outline and detailed design, to construction support and site supervision. Overview of role Mott MacDonald is a market leader in the UK water sector, being a key supplier to major water companies and delivering a wide variety of engineering and advisory projects. Digital is going to play a huge role in assisting us to achieve our ambitious Growth Plan. Our clients are facing difficult challenges including pollution, leakage, and climate change. We are looking to recruit new staff who have digital skills and a track record of implementing digital change for water company clients. The role will involve both strategic advisory services and implementation support to develop and deliver execution plans. We are looking for a driven individual, keen to make a difference in the sector, take wide responsibilities, and progress professionally. Required skills and experience: Degree level education in subjects relating to the position. An excellent understanding of digital services and solutions applicable in the UK water industry. Track record in managing and leading projects and contributing to proposals. Experience working closely with clients to advise and implement on digital change. Excellent technical report writing skills using concise English. Strong communication skills with experience in effective collaboration across internal multi-disciplinary teams as well as Client teams. Ability to travel to sites in various locations. Chartered Status with a recognised Professional Institution. Experience with applying the principles of ISO19650. Experience with change management principles. Experience working within the UK water industry. Experience in development and delivery of outline, feasibility, and detailed engineering design solutions within the UK water sector using appropriate calculation tools.
