Our commitment to a flexible and hybrid working culture Role Overview: Leads the design, development, implementation, and troubleshooting of complex utilities end device systems and infrastructure. The role involves providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of end device systems. Accountabilities: Lead the design and development of advanced end device systems and solutions e.g. smart meters, sensors and actuators, control devices, communication devices. Responsible for the implementation and integration of end device systems with existing infrastructure. Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for end device systems. Conduct testing, validation, and optimisation of end device solutions. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including specifications and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Identify and resolve complex technical issues and challenges. Mentor and develop more junior engineers and technicians. Lead strategic project planning and execution. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the end device engineering team. Own relationships with suppliers in this ecosystem and peers in the industry. Provide thought leadership through end device engineering expertise and act as an SME for the team. Skills: End device engineering - knowledge of end device systems and infrastructure. Diagnostic tools - proficiency in diagnostic engineering tools and software. CAD software - proficiency in CAD software e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA. Programming languages - proficiency in programming languages. Analytical and technical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Communication skills - collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical info and provide training or support. Project management - ability to manage one or multiple projects or project tasks and meet deadlines. Innovation & CI - ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Relationship management - ability to foster relationships (and network) with external vendors, suppliers, industry peers, etc. Knowledge & Experience: Substantial experience in end device engineering or a related field. Extensive knowledge of industry standards and best practices in end device systems. Understanding of agile methodologies. Qualifications:

A degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field is advantageous. Why join Arqiva?
