Senior Principal Hardware Engineer
within the
Luxury Audio Engineering Group , you will be joining our team of world-class engineers who share an extraordinary passion for impeccable sound and dedication to raising the bar for high-end consumer audio. You will have a profound understanding of audio electronics and possess exceptional problem-solving abilities. This role will be pivotal in designing, developing, and refining cutting-edge audio equipment, ensuring that our products continue to lead the market in quality and performance. Your Team You will report to the Director, Engineering, Mark Levinson Brands and be part of a cross-functional team including industrial designers, mechanical engineers, software engineers and production teams. What You Will Do Lead the design and development of advanced audio electronics for high-end 2 channel HiFi systems. Create detailed schematics and layouts for audio circuits, including amplifiers, preamplifiers, DACs, and power supplies. Conduct rigorous testing and optimization of electronic circuits to achieve superior audio performance and reliability. Oversee multiple projects from concept through to production ensuring milestones and deadlines are met. Prepare and present project reports, design reviews and technical documentation. Drive innovation in audio electronics by staying up to date with the latest technological advancements and industry trends. Ensure all designs meet stringent quality, compliance and performance standards. Mentor and provide technical guidance to fellow engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. What You Need Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience in a related technical discipline. Minimum of 16 years’ experience working in high-performance consumer audio systems and the related competitive market. Extensive experience with analog and digital circuit design for audio applications. Proficiency in CAD software for schematic capture and PCB layout (Preferably Altium). Deep understanding of signal processing, audio measurement techniques and acoustic principles. Knowledge of high-resolution audio formats and streaming technologies. Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards and certifications related to audio electronics. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Attention to detail and a passion for achieving excellence in audio quality. What is Nice to Have Active participation in the audio engineering community, with published papers or patents in the field. Experience using logic and circuit simulation and analysis tools. Experience with DSP programming and NXP processors, including Free RTOS. What Makes You Eligible Be willing to travel up to 10%, domestic and international travel.
