Wood is recruiting for Senior and Principal Structural Designers to join its Upstream business within our Operations team to provide the link between engineering design theory and practical application. This position will be hired on a limited contractor basis for a period of 12 months, outside IR35. This position is based in our Head Office in Aberdeen with Hybrid working.
The Role
These positions will work in our Aberdeen Engineering hub where we are in significant growth mode.
We have multidiscipline work across a variety of clients with scopes ranging from repair orders, minor modifications to larger project work.
Live and forecast work covers all phases of the project life cycle from front end concept studies, through Pre-FEED, FEED, EPCC and decommissioning.
We are leading the way with ongoing studies looking to electrify existing assets and have a growing portfolio of decarbonisation projects including flare gas recovery systems.
You will prepare engineering drawings from engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
Create designs and sketch out detailed plans for projects such as commercial, industrial, and civil sector structures.
