Our client who are one of the UK’s largest manufacturers of flexible packaging, are looking to recruit multiple

experienced Printers . The ideal candidate will continue with training to improve their grading in all aspects of printing. Ensure all pre-run checks are undertaken and signed off, and will be involved in the coaching and mentoring of trainee printers. Job Accountabilities Provide printers under training with clear guidance, leadership, advice and encouragement. Coach, support and identify training and development needs and opportunities for printers under training. Control all aspects of the printing process regarding quality, lay sheets, colour standards, and quantities. Oversee the press at all times, in person or by delegation. Ensure cleanliness of the printing press and surrounding area at all times, demonstrating Clean as You Go. Retain required samples. Carry out quality checks ensuring adherence to quality systems. Complete all required documentation accurately. Ensure adherence to Health & Safety at all times, ensuring all trainees are aware of Method Statements and working safely. Lead by example. Keep the printer informed of all problems and material deficiencies. Ensure that all aspects of your relevant grading are carried out, questions asked, and all aspects of the following grade are worked upon, encouraging future development. Possess excellent knowledge of the Prism computer system. Complete all required production documentation accurately and on time. Work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and sharing information. Be flexible in undertaking duties and responsibilities, which may include performing other duties that correspond to the general character of the position. Key Performance Indicators/Key Decisions Ensure work is produced in a timely and safe manner. Complete understanding of the PRISM system. Accurate recording of production onto quality documents. Maintain a positive attitude and actively promote company ideas. Lead by example and produce capable assistant printers. Shift Pattern Working 7 days over a 14-day period. 5/2 shift pattern. Week one: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday DAYS 5.45 am to 6 pm. Week two: Wednesday, Thursday DAYS 5.45 am to 6 pm. Week three: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday NIGHTS 5.45 pm to 6 am. Week four: Wednesday, Thursday NIGHTS 5.45 pm to 6 am.
