Our Manton Wood site has a gym, restaurant with hot food and a staff shop available to all our colleagues. What you’ll be doing As an

experienced process development technologist , you will carry out all relevant manufacturing projects to deliver process development and line trials by: Providing information to support the creation of customer and factory specifications which lead to the production of accurate and appropriate product labelling information. Being responsible for the planning, preparation and successful execution of process development and line trials to deliver customer requirements and process improvements. Providing process guidance and advice to cross-functional manufacturing teams to promote adoption of new practices or processes for increased efficiency. Monitoring and communicating process trends to ensure launch date adherence, maximum process optimisation and effective communication to customers. Challenging and investigating potential continuous improvement projects and facilitating relevant trials to drive process and product enhancement opportunities. Ensuring the output of all line trials is fully documented with adherence to food safety, quality standards and customer requirements. Assessing equipment capability to ensure that process standards are in line with company and customer requirements to drive improvements. Ensuring that a safe working environment exists for colleagues and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set out in the Health, Safety and Environment Policy. Experience with the validation and verification of processes, particularly allergens and meat products. Ideally educated to degree level in a food science or related subject, plus relevant working experience within a food manufacturing environment. Relevant qualifications essential such as Level 3 Food Hygiene, Level 2 Health and Safety, HACCP Level 2, Sensory Training Level 2, and Microbiological Training Level 2. Experienced in evaluation and interpretation of shelf-life results. Experienced in interpretation of customer codes of practice. Experienced working with different types of computer programs and can demonstrate experience analyzing project results. Knowledge of legal labelling legislation and a variety of retailer web-based systems is desirable. Understanding of technology relevant to the business area and area of responsibility and a demonstrable understanding of technical key performance indicators. Can demonstrate the following skills and experiences: GMP knowledge of techniques, basic hygiene principles, basic legal labelling, and basic knowledge of weight legislation.
