Procurement Senior Buyer
to join a leading
Major Tier 1 contractor
to assist with various packages across rail projects on a permanent basis. This position will offer a competitive salary package with hybrid working opportunities based in London. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire procurement process, from tendering to contract award, ensuring adherence to governance, compliance, and project objectives. Work closely with technical, commercial, and legal teams on contract negotiations, supplier evaluations, and performance management. Develop and implement procurement strategies for complex, high-value project packages. Maintain a strategic approach to supply chain planning and logistics, ensuring high performance standards. Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible. What you will need:
Demonstrable expertise in procurement of civil engineering materials across high value projects. Good knowledge and experience of the supply chain both material and subcontract. Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers. A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 4 or higher would be desirable.
