We are looking for an experienced and motivated professional to work with us at Bath & North East Somerset in developing the organisation’s approach to contract management. You will be one of the Council’s contract management professionals involved in developing and implementing a contract management framework for the Council. If you’d like to work in a positive and friendly team to influence how the local authority shapes the services it delivers, few opportunities will offer a better chance of driving change. Applicants should be able to demonstrate strong business partnering, analytical, commercial, communication and organisational skills. About the Role As a Senior Procurement Officer (Corporate Contracts), you will be a key member of the Strategic Procurement Team within the Resources Directorate, responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate contracts and in developing and implementing a contract management framework and systems across the Council’s directorates. About You You will be an experienced contract manager, who thrives in developing systems and processes and in maintaining relationships with suppliers. You will have a drive to identify best practice and to develop heads of service, commissioning managers and contract managers. You will be proactive with a collaborative work style, you will lead by example, demonstrating a people-focused, risk-based approach to contract management in support of council strategic objectives. You will be a flexible team worker that is able to prioritise your own workload, have a good eye for detail, be confident with figures and be experienced in developing robust customer/client relationships, as well as relationships with internal stakeholders.
