Senior Product Designer Our mission is to be the trusted foundation of every home by connecting people with the trades and tools to make home improvements easy. The UX Team is on a mission to craft exceptional user experiences, playing an instrumental role in shaping the future of Checkatrade. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our in-house team. You'll design intuitive and delightful experiences, detailed prototypes and high-fidelity visuals, as well as contributing and maintaining our design system. You’ll regularly use empathy, logic and your knowledge of user-centred design to inform writing and design choices for cross-functional and cross-platform projects. You'll work collaboratively and transparently while maintaining high standards regarding best practices and accessibility standards to influence product vision as part of a multidisciplinary team. Reporting to the Head of UX, you'll manage and execute the delivery of UX projects to support our strategic vision. You'll lead with a visionary approach in your design, illustrating where we’re headed and telling the story of how design will take us there. You'll turn big ideas into user-friendly designs for our customers, making complex tasks easy and delightful. You'll deliver high-quality designs as our brand adapts to the changing needs of a modern marketplace experience. You'll support and inspire fellow designers, helping to improve the overall quality and impact of our team's work. What do you need to succeed? A strong portfolio showcasing your eye for design and strong visual skills. Experience in shaping and extending visual identities through user interfaces. Ability to collaborate deeply with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and research. Proven experience designing high-quality software products in a fast-paced environment. A curious mindset towards design, constantly challenging and rethinking approaches to design and workflows. Deep knowledge of UX and UI principles and best practices, backed by a proven track record of delivering user-centred and intuitive experiences. Proactive, organised, humble, and empathetic, with the ability to multitask across various work streams. Experience in delivering designs for mobile applications. Created or contributed to a design system that is actively utilised across multiple design disciplines. Experience in establishing research studies and conducting tactical research, with a focus on delivering actionable insights to the business.
