This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board. About 9fin The world's largest asset class, debt, operates with the worst data. Technology has revolutionized equity markets with electronic trading, quant algos and instantaneous news. However, in debt capital markets, the picture is completely different. It still behaves like it's in the 1980s; trillions of dollars of trades are placed over the phone, news is slow, and corporate credit information is imperfect and scattered. Our mission is to change this. 9fin's proprietary technology delivers fast and comprehensive financial, credit, legal & ESG analysis. Our clients are able to make faster, more informed decisions, win more business and most importantly, save time. Our fast growing list of clients include 9 of the top 10 Investment Banks, leading Asset Managers, Hedge Funds and Law Firms. About this role We are seeking two Senior Product Designers to join our UK based Private 9fin and Leveraged Finance team. These are both key roles, focused on shaping the future of 9fin. You'll be designing user experiences that will change how our customers work with complex financial information. Every day is different, but here are a few things you might have worked on recently if you were already part of the team: Designing an advanced filtering interface that helps users quickly find and act on specific financial information across multiple data sources. Improving existing tools based on user feedback and usage data. For example refining data visualisation components to make complex financial relationships clear and actionable. Refactoring an admin interface to maximise confidence and reduce time on task. Creating and testing clickable prototypes, then using feedback to refine your ideas before development. Running discovery interviews to understand how users currently work, then distilling those insights into clear user journeys. Working with engineers to optimise complex workflows, ensuring efficiency without sacrificing functionality. Contributing to our design system to ensure consistency across new features. Leading workshops with the team to align on user needs and map out potential solutions. To be effective, you don't need any knowledge of the Debt Capital Markets industry, but you should be eager to learn and excited to dive deep into this product area. You'll be joining a cross-functional team with a PM and multiple engineers, where you'll have significant autonomy to shape both the vision and execution of new features. While visual polish is important, your focus will be on creating intuitive, efficient user experiences that solve real problems. About you If these traits describe you, we encourage you to apply and be part of the team: You focus on what's important . You know how to distil a group of ideas into an MVP, by identifying what is actually important, then tactically adding polish. You are comfortable with complexity . We're building a dedicated tool to help finance professionals, which isn't an easy task. You don't need to come with any knowledge of the Legal or Distressed industries, but you should be eager to learn and excited to dive deep. You care about the details.

You ship robust, functional, and pragmatic UI designs. You can take a design from idea to production UI. You naturally think about the UX of every state, not just the happy cases. You keep iterating until it's right. You are a strong communicator.

You can work with stakeholders to shape a problem, then explore design solutions. You can clearly communicate your reasoning and influence others. You know your tools.

We use Figma for Product design and prototyping, and some other tools for UX testing. You have experience designing and maintaining a reusable design system. You can show your design thinking . You use sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to show how your designs would work in practice. You know how to choose the appropriate fidelity to convey your ideas. You test and iterate . You validate your designs and ideas. You proactively seek user interviews, user testing, feedback and data to keep the needs of the user at the forefront. Our benefits We're a scaling start up and we enjoy sharing our success, when the company succeeds, we always reinvest that in our people. We also offer huge amounts of responsibility, an abundance of opportunity for growth and a platform to truly excel. Financial & Insurance Competitive salary (our salary bands are benchmarked at the top end of the market) Equity options Pension (your minimum contributions are 4%, with 9fin matching up to 7%) Private Medical Insurance Paid sick leave with Income Protection for long periods of illness Group Life Assurance Season Ticket Loan & Cycle to Work schemes Time off 25 holiday days per year Local public holidays (with the ability to exchange them for alternative days) Work abroad for up to 3 months a year 1 month paid sabbatical after 5 years of service Enhanced parental leave & flexible working arrangements available Training & Culture Hybrid working model, to allow you the flexibility to decide how, where and when you do your best work Professional learning and development budget Quarterly team socials Summer and Winter company social events A note from the hiring manager 9fin is a great place to work. We're a friendly, ambitious and motivated team. I have been here for more than 6 years, and I still come to work excited each day. We are on a mission to build a world-class product for finance professionals. We're not here to mimic the stagnant competitors; we're here to really move the needle. To build something delightful, intuitive and user-focused. Design will continue to be a key part of 9fin's success. If you join 9fin's Design Team, your work will have a direct impact. - Jordan Rolph, Design Manager 9fin is an equal opportunities employer At 9fin we are dedicated to building and promoting a fair and inclusive workplace where everyone can reach their full potential and truly belong. We recognize that building diverse teams enables a more creative and productive environment. If you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't perfectly align with the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might just be who we're looking for - either for this role, or perhaps another.
