Senior Product Developer - Knitwear

to join a contemporary & active apparel business in the Chesterfield area. They are an Ecommerce & Wholesale company that have seen strong growth over the past 3 years. With offices in Derbyshire, London, and LA. Due to this, they are looking for a Senior Product Developer on Knitwear to join the product team. Responsibilities:

Key team member reporting directly to the Director of Development & Production and the wider business at a management level. Build and maintain a close working partnership with Design to develop the collection from the initial concept through to the finished product. Act as the technical partner for design, attending fittings, providing feedback on technical feasibility, brainstorming ideas and solutions to ensure the design vision is translated into product. Manage the critical path from concept to SMS, ensuring deadlines are adhered to and following up on all prototype/sample issues to resolve and drive to the SMS completion stage. Manage the WIP with the D&P, Merchandising & Operations team. Manage the costs ensuring products meet margin requirements. Manage all vendor relationships for the collection, working with manufacturers to negotiate and calculate costs for proto samples through to Bulk including QC issues. The Successful Applicant:

5 years and above experience in a similar role within the fashion industry preferably for a Brand. Strong background in Fashion Knitwear, Development, Design etc. Ability to work in partnership with Design, understanding and interpreting their creative aesthetic and design vision and translating this to D&P teams and partners. Technical capability and product knowledge with the ability to confidently influence the Design team and provide on-the-spot solutions. Experience managing vendor relationships, delivering clear briefs, leveraging relationships to meet demands and negotiating costs. Have knowledge of the industry and be aware of competitors' products. Experience in managing and developing a fast-paced D&P team across all levels of experience. Demonstrated experience working on-site with vendors and operational knowledge of factories, delivering clear briefs and leveraging relationships and availability to meet demands. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with credibility, share information effectively, and work confidently at all levels and with cross-functional teams. What's on Offer:
