Our client, a specialist manufacturer, is looking for an experienced engineer with a focus on New Product Development to join their R&D Team. The role will work closely with the production team, developing products from pilot to production phase. This will involve leading your own projects, speccing new equipment, developing and upscaling processes from lab to production and ongoing validation activities to ensure compliance with customer brief and relevant legislation / best practice.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Degree calibre education (or equivalent industry experience) in a relevant engineering discipline or similar
2D / 3D CAD / SolidWorks / Matlab experience
Relevant project management (ideally including project based team management) and process design skills
Strong validation skills
Strong knowledge of quality principles, NCs, CAPA, root cause analysis, etc
pFMEA and Risk Management experience
Focus on continuous improvement
This is a specialist and highly in-demand area of manufacturing, however, they are focused on finding someone with the core Product Development experience – they can teach the nuances of their industry requirements and the associated validation requirements.
