Responsibilities

Be an integral part of the Engineering team ensuring our products are delivered on time, to specification and within budget, and to the best DFMA principles. Provide manufacturing engineering support for the design and development team. Lead and contribute to projects that reduce costs and improve and maintain quality. Ensure products are delivered on time, to specification and within budget. Improve and maintain quality. Identify cost-out opportunities, support sourcing, and actively take part in in/outsourcing projects to improve profitability. Keep up to date with technical innovation in the UHV & Manufacturing areas. Support the engineering change system in a timely and controlled manner, ensuring up-to-date drawings are available. Provide engineering support for quotations and technical enquiries. Identify and deliver on opportunities to improve quality through redesign/production engineering. Assist in providing data on metrics for display publicly, and provide any technical support to other team members. Ensure that the team is aware of the best current practices for DFM, ensure that drawing numbers are allocated correctly and that the registers are maintained.

Essential Skills and Experience

Outgoing energetic personality. Well organized and structured. Passion for people and technology. English fluency.

Desirable Skills and Experience

5+ years in similar role(s). Experience in Microsoft tools. Ability to lead small teams.

Essential Qualifications

HNC/D in Mechanical and Production Engineering. Mechanical Engineering Degree.

Your Qualities

Good communicator across all engineering disciplines and levels of ability. Able to manage own time effectively. Ability to mentor other engineers.
