The purpose of the role:

We are currently looking for a Senior Product Line Manager (Power Products) to be based out of our Lomondgate site in Dumbarton. The Senior Product Line Manager – Power, will be responsible for managing the power product portfolio for Aggreko’s global rentals and projects business consisting of diesel and gas generating sets, load banks, and power distribution equipment.

Your leadership will help us shape and evolve our power products range to support Aggreko’s growth ambitions in dynamically changing global energy markets. Together with your central team of product managers, you will collaborate with the sales and operations teams across the business regions to optimize the commercial utilization and operational performance of the existing portfolio of modular and mobile diesel and gas generating sets, load banks, and power distribution, enabling Aggreko to be our customers’ trusted energy solutions partner through the Energy Transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as product manager for one of the key product lines.
  • Manage and develop a team of Product Managers for the power product lines.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across the business to build sponsorship for new product introductions and maintain a detailed understanding of Aggreko’s business requirements; work closely with commercial and operations functions to optimize fleet and product KPIs.
  • Understand key industry trends and market drivers across power product lines and translate them into action for Aggreko through product roadmaps, continuous improvements, etc.
  • Ensure the development of clear business cases, including gathering market intelligence to generate user requirements, for fleet optimization and new product development, aligning with the adjacent Energy Storage product management team.
  • Establish and maintain the appropriate level of supplier relationships from tendering to strategic partnerships together with the procurement team.
  • Ensure the introduction of products from a commercial, sales & marketing and operations perspective.
  • Prepare and drive decisions along our products’ lifecycles including their retirement.

What we’re looking for:

  • B.Sc. in engineering or a business-related degree or a marketing-related degree.
  • Excellent leadership experience (with or without direct reports), preferably in the energy industry and preferably with a good balance of commercial and technical roles.
  • Knowledge of thermal power generation and adjacent products.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills – communicates clearly and effectively, being able to manage and influence a complex network of stakeholders at different levels (internal and external).
  • Good cultural awareness – understands and respects the cultural differences across countries and regions, adapting accordingly.
  • Growth mindset (business and personal) – always looking for growth opportunities within the business and yourself.
