A rare opportunity to take a Senior Management role and head up a global chemical product regulatory affairs team at a global chemical manufacturing business. We are looking for a commercially and strategically minded leader who has a passion for regulation and legislation governing chemical products. Your remit is to create and drive the strategy for product safety and regulatory compliance across the business. You will:

Create and deliver strategy for the defence of product portfolio globally. Create and manage the product safety testing program for all products/components that ensures regulators get the data they need. Ensure the product portfolio is correctly registered with all chemical safety frameworks (e.g., REACH) in the UK, EU, Turkey, Korea, India, Taiwan, and US. Deliver responsibilities as lead registrant for REACH. Manage large scale programs of scientific testing and buy access to chemical databases and registration licenses. Represent the company in external regulatory organisations. Track global developments in chemicals regulation including hazard classification in the EU, USA, and APAC. Provide guidance and direction to leadership teams on product regulatory and safety issues. Grow and develop the Regulatory/Product Stewardship team to ensure they are equipped with the necessary expertise. Provide leadership, advice, guidance, and strategic input to all key team decisions. We are looking for an experienced chemical industry leader who has knowledge and passion for chemical regulation and legislation. You are likely to be from a technical, regulatory, or legal background with specific knowledge of global chemical regulations/legislation. You must be commercially and strategically minded, able to guide and lead a highly experienced team of regulatory experts. You must be an excellent communicator, have strong influencing skills, good relationship-building skills, and be able to constructively challenge and effectively lead and implement the business regulatory strategy.
