Our client, an impressive Poole-based engineering business, is looking for a Senior Production Engineer to join their team. This position will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving manufacturing processes and equipment. A position of responsibility, you would be involved with supporting, guiding, and training operators, proposing and managing multiple projects, ensuring health and safety standards, and being a true champion in continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities as Senior Production Engineer

Maintain and improve manufacturing processes and procedures Support, guide, and train operators Prepare and manage proposals and projects Ensure health and safety standards are upheld Verify and provide training on programs to team members with less experience Coordinate project teams and work load Produce programs for a variety of multi-axis CNC machines Collaborate on the design of new cutting tools Utilise the MRP/ERP system to update production engineering information

Qualifications and Experience as Senior Production Engineer Experience in a manufacturing/machining position Proficient in Microsoft Suite and CAM software Strong communication and delegation skills Ability to liaise across departments confidently Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean initiatives Experience in project management and cost-saving measures Ability to run and coordinate project teams
