The Senior Programmer Analyst Role GWP Group, part of Macfarlane Group, specializes in designing and manufacturing innovative, high-performance packaging. You will need to be an experienced Analyst Programmer or developer and able to take responsibility for the development and maintenance of software applications, databases and reports for GWP and several other business divisions within the Macfarlane Packaging Group PLC.

Senior Programmer Analyst Key Responsibilities

Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to a development team, delegating tasks and ensuring timely issue resolution and project completion. Provide high-level technical and analytical support for software applications. Work to KPIs in line with the business needs. Collaborate closely with all business departments for software requirements. Identify the need for software development, upgrades, configurations, or new systems. Adopt and promote a continuous improvement mentality for the development team. Independently manage software projects from start to finish. What you will bring The successful candidate will ideally meet with the following criteria…

Essential: Experience of working on large multi-faceted projects and establishing frameworks around them for the associated software development. A working knowledge of agile software development processes. Minimum of 5 years’ experience of VB.Net & VB6 programming. Experience of using MS Azure DevOps. Experience of MS SQL. Proven ability to prioritise effectively and manage expectations of stakeholders at all levels. Excellent communication skills to all levels of the business and technical abilities. A good understanding of the software development lifecycle. Desirable: C#.NET Programming Language. IP Networking design and administration. Microsoft IT infrastructure (Server, 365 deployments, Azure, Active Directory).
