Our Opportunity

We currently have an opening in our Finance team for a Senior Project Accountant to serve our portfolio of Service and Digital based contracts. As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for the financial control and management of this portfolio as well as its continuous improvement.

This is a hybrid role working a minimum of two days per week from our site in Stratford, London.

Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial data across the project portfolio and ensure it is up-to-date and clearly analysed Seek continuous improvement of performance and processes, as well as transparency and reliability of data Ensure variances against budget and forecast are identified Identify and analyse issues across the portfolio, including associated risks Produce accurate and timely monthly analysis of all order booking, revenues, backlog and cost Create project related financial data and relevant information Co-ordinate the budgeting and forecasting process for both the project and the wider Business Line Support the Project Manager in all financial related topics and provide guidance as required Support Financial Controller on ad-hoc financial requests Revenue management

Maintain and operate comprehensive processes and controls to ensure that all attributable revenues are billed and collected when due, captured in the company's financial system and correctly billed / reported to the specific projects Cost control

Process and control to ensure that all internal and external costs are authorised and captured in the company's financial system and correctly booked /reported to the specific projects Review cost estimates after execution and explain variances Technical Skills and Experience

At least part qualified with CIMA, ACA or ACCA Previous Project Accounting experience Experience of Oracle, MS Office and advanced Excel Experience of monthly financial reporting against tight deadlines Experience of long-term contract accounting Financial planning, forecasting and budgeting Good IFRS knowledge (specifically IFRS15) Ability to produce detailed & accurate information Human Skills

Strong communication skills High attention to detail Effective delivery within a challenging and changing environment Effective at managing your time and prioritisation Robust and reliable, capable of implementing controls What to expect

We aim to complete a two-stage interview process, with at least one of these held in person at our Stratford office. The interviews will focus separately on technical and behavioural competencies.
