1554347 We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer on behalf of our client, a leader in engineering design and contracting, to manage multi-disciplinary teams in delivering complex projects within the oil and gas, and petrochemical industries. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company committed to innovative engineering solutions and excellence in project delivery, in a full-time permanent role based in Darlington.
You will be: Overseeing engineering resources and guiding project teams to deliver designs, technical drawings, and solutions in accordance with project specifications. Tracking project performance, budgets, and timelines, while putting strategies in place to minimise risks. Leading the resolution of multi-disciplinary technical challenges and ensuring compliance with contractual commitments. Coordinating client interfaces and managing subcontractor scope, including costs. Preparing project documentation such as execution plans and quality reports, ensuring alignment with company standards. Offering technical support and monitoring health, safety, and quality procedures across all engineering activities. Handling project communication, ensuring proper channels are followed, and maintaining up-to-date records.
You will need: A degree/HND in an engineering discipline. Career significant experience, with a substantial minimum time as a Project Engineer in engineering design or contracting environments. Strong understanding of codes and standards in the international oil and gas, and petrochemical sectors. Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills, with a strong commercial and risk awareness.
