As a Senior Project Engineer at London Gatwick, you will contribute to the development of the UK's second largest airport, supporting the delivery of a substantial investment plan to enhance our airport infrastructure and facilities. Working as part of the Airfield & Civils Construction Programme Delivery Team, you will lead the development and design delivery of complex projects ranging in value from £3m to £50m. Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and management of critical Civil & Infrastructure projects within an operational airfield environment. Manage Design Consultants to ensure designs align with project requirements, delivering value for money while adhering to schedule and budget. Develop the design brief for external design consultants and manage the design process to ensure quality outputs. Ensure safe and cost-effective design solutions to meet project requirements. Oversee and provide technical input to design changes during construction and handover stages. Facilitate enhancements to project delivery and design management processes. Assist Project Managers with stakeholder management to enhance project delivery. Ensure safety and quality on-site alongside the Construction team. Supervise and mentor Project Engineers as required. Discharge Gatwick Airport Limited's statutory duty as Principal Designer under CDM 2015 Regulations (where applicable). What Are We Looking For?

The live environment at Gatwick requires a flexible and adaptable approach, with exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Required qualifications and experience include: A degree or equivalent in Civil/Construction Engineering or Construction Management. Demonstrable knowledge of the technical and regulatory requirements related to civil engineering and infrastructure. Experience in engineering design or design management on large infrastructure projects or multi-year programmes with a value typically in excess of £15m. Clear understanding of CDM 2015 regulations. Working knowledge of NEC suite of contracts. CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card. While previous civil engineering experience within an Airfield environment is desirable, we welcome applications with broader civils infrastructure experience. Benefits
