The Worksop site is part of our Power Management & Control Components Division in EMEA, a Switch Disconnectors Manufacturing Factory – Cam Switches, Fused and Non-Fused Switch Disconnectors. With its Continuous Improvement (CI) culture and multi-skilled workforce, Worksop is able to offer a quick, flexible and reliable on-time delivery service to its customers. Core competencies allow the Plant to carry out the complete manufacture of switchgear on site and provide high-quality products to meet customer demand. What you’ll do:

Primary focus of the role is to lead and manage the Technical Support Team of engineers to provide product, technical, SAP and engineering support to the factory and our engineering design colleagues in India and Burton as required. Oversee key project deployment, conduct the annual ProLaunch self-assessment and be the site lead for NPI projects bringing new products into production. Oversee the Toolroom performing both mould and press tool repair and modifications. Manufacture all the site's jigs and fixtures to drive efficiency improvements. Be the ProLaunch Champion for project management on site. Lead the annual ProLaunch self-assessment and support OPA, MESH, internal and external audits. Attend and support monthly divisional portfolio reviews. Be the site lead for all NPI projects attending regular review meetings and coordinate and prioritise actions to meet set deadlines. Oversee the site's key CAPEX projects and offer advice and expertise to meet deadlines, budget and specification preparing overview presentations and status reports. Work with the site leaders to develop a 5-year CAPEX pipeline considering the output of the annual critical plant reviews i.e. downtimes, spend etc. Drive I4.0 initiatives within the plant supporting our I4.0 Engineer to meet expected targets. Support cost out projects, identify viable projects and utilise team members' strengths to work in cross-functional teams to deliver savings. Provide product specific support to production, engineering and customers, offer end to end SAP support to cover all the site's needs. Provide high-level engineering support for all local machinery including testers, robots, automation, moulding and press machinery. Complete GEMBA walks, daily Tier 3 meeting, prepare annual labour and revenue budget. Hold regular 1-1 reviews with team and complete annual talent review identifying any training requirements. Be a MESH Element Champion in a suitable category for skill base. Qualifications:

BEng in engineering. A minimum of 3 years experience leading an engineering team. Skills:

Engineering knowledge and experience on mould and press machinery, high speed automation, multi-axis robots, mould and press tooling, lean manufacturing methods. Being a proficient user of SAP would be advantageous. Excellent leader of people and communication skills. Be able to use Office 365 applications, analyse and interpret data in spreadsheets.
