Senior Project Engineer focuses on provide technical leadership across the full bess project lifecycle.

What the role involves

Provide technical leadership across the full BESS project lifecycle.
Review technical specifications, employer’s requirements, and scopes of work.
Supporting technology selection including battery OEMs, PCS, EMS, and system integrators.
Review and challenge EPC, BoP, and OEM designs (electrical, civil, fire safety, thermal, controls).
Supporting technical due diligence for acquisitions and development-stage investments.
Interface with grid stakeholders to ensure compliance with UK grid codes and connection agreements.

Skills and requirements

Experience across development, construction, and operational phases.

Candidate fit

Willing to be in office or on-site 4 days per week.

Additional role context

I'm seeking an experienced BESS Engineer to support the technical delivery and optimisation of a growing utility‑scale battery energy storage portfolio.
