As a Senior Project Engineer, you will define, support, and drive the project/work packages for the assigned Design Engineers on all equipment design and specifications. You will work alongside the Technical Lead Engineer and the Procurement Officer on all subcontractor & supplier packages, as well as handle subcontractors/suppliers' packages through delivery up to handover.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who has Project Engineering/Contract Management experience gained within the Transmission & Distribution Industry. You will have a great understanding of Transmission & Distribution standards & technologies, together with knowledge of Substation Primary & Secondary Systems. A good knowledge and understanding of current Health and Safety and Environmental Regulations, as well as Risk Management processes, is essential.

Fantastic communication & interpersonal skills are required, along with a strong work ethic, ability to work on your own initiative, and the ability to be proactive.

Your responsibilities

Your Senior Project Engineer role will require you to set in place, support, and drive the project/work packages for the assigned Design Engineers on all equipment design and specifications. You will work alongside the Technical Lead Engineer and the Procurement Officer on all subcontractor & supplier packages, as well as handle subcontractors/suppliers' packages through delivery up to handover.

You will be required to ensure all technical, procurement, and quality information is made available for factory acceptance tests to take place and, where vital, attend acceptance tests and complete supplier/subcontractor performance evaluations.

Commercially and technically, you are required to raise all potential risks, variations, and opportunities and collaborate with the Project Manager.

You will be responsible for preparing Monthly Progress Reports on the assigned work packages for internal and external reporting, ensuring procurement information for QA Plans is communicated to Procurement, and collaborating closely with site personnel and commissioning engineers on the work packages.

You will be required to be customer-facing on discussions, technical queries, issues, and design risk management for the work packages assigned to you.
