Warrington , Westinghouse Electric UK The AP Technology Deployment department is looking for a senior project engineer to deliver the AP300 UK GDA project. This senior engineer will be a part of our AP300 Project Engineering team and engage on a vast set of nuclear power plant design topics (with a focus on New Plants Licensing activities and projects), in support to Westinghouse international new build market development and capture. In your role, at first, you will lead and coordinate the regulatory interface during UK GDA process. As a senior project engineer, you will be the technical link between the regulators, the project manager, our design teams and Westinghouse global engineering. This role provides a solid development and growth opportunity for those seeking to develop as a technical leader or business leader, as support will go beyond one specific discipline, and provides an opportunity of development of network within Westinghouse. What your day-to-day activities look like:
Responsible for delivery of the regulatory submission on time and with appropriate quality Work with support of Design Area Leads to ensure AP300 GDA progress and scope execution Responsible for managing the schedule and budgeting Regulatory lead point of contact for Functional Area Leads and Project Coordinator Supports the UK GDA Manager and Design Technical Leads as required Communicate GDA program updates with internal leadership What we need to see from you:
At least 5 years of relevant work experience, previous experience on UK GDA is preferred Nuclear safety and customer focus outlook Previous experience in development ALARP/BAT cases is a plus Knowledge of the design and operation of pressurized water reactor power plants is preferred Effective oral and written communications Strong interpersonal and time management skills Ability to establish effective networks across various functional areas Why Westinghouse?
