As the Senior Project Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the delivery of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning activities throughout the entire contract or work package lifecycle, ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule. You will ensure that all planning and delivery meet the required safety, quality, time, and cost parameters to support the project's objectives. Additionally, you'll provide direction and leadership for all activities associated with the complete lifecycle delivery of a major contract or contracts assigned to you.

You will proactively identify and manage risks, resolve project issues, and escalate concerns to the Delivery Manager when necessary. You will oversee the development and maintenance of schedules, ensuring alignment with overall project timelines, and apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to track performance. With a commitment to continuous improvement, you will interface with other programmes to ensure best practices are implemented, contributing to the overall success of the project.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with a strong background in delivering projects within complex and highly regulated environments, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar industries. A degree in engineering, construction, or a related field, with a professional qualification in Project Management (such as APM PPQ or equivalent) is required. You will have experience managing engineering design, procurement, and execution strategies for multi-discipline EPCM projects, including contract management, cost control, risk management, scheduling, and Earned Value analysis.

Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, along with experience in overseeing contractors, consultants, and advisors on large-scale construction projects under NEC and FIDIC contracts. You will demonstrate expertise in project financial management, change management, and facilitation, with proficiency in estimating, scheduling, and risk assessment tools. A thorough understanding of EPR design, CDM Regulations, and full project lifecycle management from concept to handover is necessary. Strong communication and organisational skills will be key to building effective relationships and networks, ensuring seamless project execution while maintaining the highest levels of safety, security, and environmental responsibility.

Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater - regular travel to other offices and occasional international travel required.

Alongside a starting salary from £90,000, depending on experience, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include a range of benefits, from the big and formal to the small and personal.
