pxFairport was created in 2022 with the merger of Komatsu Material Handling Division and Fairport Engineering, following an acquisition by px Engineering. With 2 offices in the North of England (Adlington and Sunderland), we are an engineering and projects delivery business specialising in design, installation, project management and consultancy of turnkey processing plants and bulk material handling systems across a number of sectors, including quarrying, ports, cement, renewables, tunnelling, and aggregates.
The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Senior Project Manager, reporting directly to the Head of Projects, to be based at our Adlington office.
The Senior Project Manager oversees the full project lifecycle and is responsible for delivering the scope (in line with the client contract) as per the agreed budget and schedule, whilst ensuring the target margin is realised. They are a key figure within the business, driving progress across a number of different departments to ensure our projects are executed in line with our company policies, processes and objectives.
Alongside delivering projects, they will also have line management responsibility for other Project Managers in the team and support the Head of Projects with any areas of development/continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements:
HND in a technical or engineering discipline
Formal project management qualification
Demonstratable experience with projects within a construction environment.
Project controls experience, including planning, monitoring and reviewing of both schedules and cost.
Ability to understand engineering drawings and specifications.
