As a Senior Project Manager with a focus on Public Sector and Commercial construction Markets you will be required to manage and take ownership of all aspects of a given project, proactively engaging with the client, construction, and design team to drive the project forward. You will be required to prepare succinct and accurate reports that look forward and identify clear actions and recommendations. When managing a contract, you will be required to positively engage with the construction and design team and work collaboratively to address risks and avoid claims and disputes whilst maintaining meticulous records to allow you to quickly respond to issues arising and form an informed and balanced opinion having due regard to the building contract. You will also be involved in the development of less experienced team members supporting them in becoming professionally qualified. Here's what you'll do: Development and delivery of business cases Client-side project management, including stakeholder, schedule, and contract management Ownership of and responsibility for the successful delivery of your project Preparing and maintaining schedules, including dependencies and resources Identifying and monitoring project risks and opportunities Quality management processes for project activities and outputs Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests Establishing and maintaining project governance reviews Developing and managing teams Managing suppliers Ensure commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time Strong relationships are developed with clients and members of the cross-functional team Business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities, are identified, and acted upon Provide leadership within project management business and provide leadership and mentoring to the team Manage the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards Co-ordination and sign off on all management information produced by project management teams prior to issue To 'win' clients through strong business development skills If you're passionate about innovation and turning bold ideas into reality, AECOM welcomes you. Qualifications Ready to push the limits of what's possible? Here's what we're looking for: Experience Highly motivated, able to work independently, whilst being commercially diligent and with an eye for detail Experience in NEC/JCT contract administration Have the ability and experience in setting up and implementing robust Project Management processes Demonstrate financial acumen relating to viability and cash flows Able to produce formal reports and documents which clearly set out complex issues and recommendations Qualifications Professional Qualification - ideally Project Management/ Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Bachelors Degree Chartered Status with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution APM affiliation (as secondary accreditation) We celebrate diversity, including neurodiversity, and believe it enriches our team.
