Senior Project Manager
to oversee construction projects across the Wales and West region, based at Sennybridge in Brecon. In this key role, you will lead complex pre-construction projects valued between £1m-£10m, ensuring compliance, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability targets are met. Main Responsibilities
As the Senior Project Manager, you will: Lead Pre-Construction Activities : Take charge of developing and refining client briefs, establishing preferred options, and ensuring compliance with CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations. Stakeholder Management : Champion government soft landings by engaging with and managing key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Oversee Design and Compliance : Manage supply chain design and compliance, project planning, risk mitigation, and achieving sustainability goals. Project Assurance : Provide continued oversight as projects transition to regional delivery teams, ensuring project assurance and smooth handover into operational and asset management phases. Current and Future Projects As a Senior Project Manager, you will work on a diverse range of projects, including: Modern accommodation blocks Kitchen and dining facilities Complex urban training features, including subterranean tunnel systems After-action review technology Upgrades to M&E infrastructure, transforming outdated systems with sustainable solutions to achieve net-zero and environmental targets The Ideal Candidate
The Ideal Candidate We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience: Education : Level 5 qualification (HND) or higher in a Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services field Project Management Experience : Proven depth of experience in project management Health & Safety Knowledge : Familiarity with CDM Regulations, COSHH, LOLER, PUWER, Legionella, and Asbestos Project Management Certification : PRINCE2, MSP, APM PMQ, or equivalent Professional Membership : Membership of a professional body such as APM, IET, or CIBSE Construction Contract Knowledge : Demonstrable experience with construction contracts, including the tender process (NEC preferred) Risk Management : Strong understanding of risk identification and mitigation Regulations & Standards : Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, including those for Scotland and Northern Ireland Financial Oversight : Ability to monitor and communicate project financial performance Workload Management : Skilled in workload scheduling and multitasking Why Join Us?
