Senior Project Manager Head Resourcing is delighted to partner with a leading financial services company in Scotland, seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join their Operations team as a Senior Project Manager. This pivotal role involves ensuring successful delivery of agreed business outcomes and orchestrating collaborative efforts across the business to plan, de-risk, and execute change initiatives. Responsibilities: Lead the successful delivery of agreed business outcomes by collaborating with stakeholders across the business, planning, de-risking, and managing day-to-day project activities.

Offer guidance on change policies and processes to colleagues, oversee project management staff, and collaborate with departmental leaders in developing projects and programs.

Plan project work scope, resource allocation, and timelines in coordination with department leaders and the Executive, providing transparent updates on expected deliverables.

Manage project risks by working with stakeholders, documenting and addressing them using comprehensive methods, and ensuring documented action plans are followed and updated transparently.

Ensure alignment of all activities with change policies, procedures, and standards, fostering a culture of learning from gaps and supporting colleague development.

Motivate project teams by establishing clear goals, ensuring role clarity, and efficient stakeholder management throughout the change lifecycle, celebrating successes and learning from challenges.

Coordinate cross-functional project work, maintaining transparent communication, and ensuring alignment with project objectives while providing regular updates on project status and issues.

Monitor project timelines and budgets, document delivery milestones and financial plans, track progress, and address issues promptly.

Manage changes to the project by assessing risks to expected outcomes, costs, or schedules, discussing mitigations with relevant stakeholders, and implementing necessary change controls.

Ensure successful delivery of project outcomes and benefits by collaborating with business and project stakeholders, focusing on benefit optimization and post-implementation activities, and reporting on outcomes and benefits delivery in meetings.

Qualifications and Skills: 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in a fast-paced, technology-driven financial services environment, preferably with Investment and Pensions experience.

Proven track record of delivering customer service and customer-facing digital solutions through in-house and third-party IT capabilities.

Experience in both waterfall and agile methodologies, with a proactive mindset to determine the best approach.

Strong leadership skills, ability to influence and drive improvement initiatives across business stakeholders, change, and IT teams.

Exceptional collaboration, relationship development, and management skills, coupled with effective communication abilities for technical and non-technical audiences.

Attention to detail, analytical ability to propose and assess solutions, and proficient use of MS applications including SharePoint, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Self-motivated, with strong initiative, ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision, and passion for developing others in project and program management.

Detailed experience in project initiation, planning, governance, reporting, change management, and developing enterprise change capabilities.

Salary: Up to £71k depending on experience
