Project Manager

who can lead, coordinate and oversee the commercial and EPC activities for Grid Connection, 132kV, 275kV and 400kV substation electrical works in the UK for a major EPC principal contractor. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead major projects and support the growth of the business in the South West of England & Wales. You will have responsibility for the client interface, design management and overseeing installation, commissioning and handover processes. We are looking for someone who has either worked for a principal contractor or HV EPC as the Senior Project Manager with proven experience coordinating project deliverables with the client, subcontractors, and internal teams. If you have delivered projects for National Grid or SSE or SPEN, this would be desirable. Key Duties: Lead all client interface activities in relation to various

turnkey HV substation projects

in the South West of England and Wales. Coordinating the work packages (civil to M&E) with the client and other subcontractors on the project. Be the main point of contact for all client interfaces. Provide robust project management skills in work planning, engineering design, resource allocation, client approval, and dispute resolution. Provide detailed project updates to the client. Ensure the contractual agreements are adhered to throughout the project and mitigate any issues. Provide oversight of subcontractor selection and deliverables. Ensure that sites are established correctly and that contracts with subcontractors are executed for the successful delivery of the project. Drive safety and quality throughout the project. Key Requirements: 5+ years of work experience in HV substation installation & construction sector. Previous experience working as Project Manager on distribution/DNO, EHV transmission Grid, or grid connection related HV project. Electrical Engineering background - HND, HNC, Degree, Masters or related field experience. Project Management related qualification or training is essential. Proven experience with stakeholder management, commercial management, and client interfacing. Strong engineering/technical leadership, ideally with previous experience as a Project Engineer or Engineer. Flexible to travel across the UK.
