Management of assigned projects, including full ownership and responsibility through to project completion. Adoption and detailed review of the project from the design department, absorbing and taking over technical implementation and continued development of the project (including minor CAD amendments). Develop project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Assess project requirements and ensure alignment with client specifications and regulatory standards. Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to define project objectives while developing and maintaining customer relationships. Oversee the installation and commissioning of smoke ventilation systems, ensuring compliance with designs and safety standards. Monitor project progress, adjusting schedules and resources as necessary to meet milestones, taking into account contractual obligations. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project delivery. Manage cross-functional teams, including site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. Provide clear direction and maintain regular communication with all stakeholders. Resolve conflicts and ensure effective collaboration among project teams. Complete all critical project activities, ensuring projects are closed properly for full compliance and IFC certification. Ensure all projects comply with fire safety and building regulations. Conduct quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle. Manage Health & Safety aspects on assigned projects, including the assessment and production of RAMS. Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities and ensure proper handover upon completion. Prepare and manage project budgets, including final budget review and project closing. Complete final account agreements and submission of the first part retention release applications. Efficiently procure and manage materials, tools, and equipment required for project execution. Track expenditures and report on financial performance to stakeholders. Ensure all Applications for Payment are made accurately and submitted in line with contract terms in a timely manner. Report business critical data to Head of Projects (forecasting revenue, accruals, etc.). Lead and mentor other project managers as required, providing guidance on project methodologies, best practices, and performance optimisation. Oversee a portfolio of smoke ventilation projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and resource optimisation. Act as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients and take on larger, more complex projects. Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients to secure future projects. Lead post-project reviews and implement lessons learned across all ongoing projects. Plan, prioritise, and delegate work tasks. Provide feedback to Management. Contribute to monthly revenue goals, achieving a minimum monthly income. Ensure timely completion and documentation of evidence to substantiate monthly claims and prevent the risk of knock-backs on applications. Ensure accuracy of forecasting future revenue of allocated projects. Ensure timely and comprehensive completion of formal project closeouts. Key Experience/Qualifications:
Proven experience in project management within smoke ventilation, HVAC, or related industries. Leadership and team-building skills. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating teams and building client relationships. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address project challenges. Ability to read drawings and plan approach to project completion. Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload under pressure. Skills and Capabilities:
Ideally 2 years construction or site experience. Proven track record as a Project Manager. Located within commuting distance to Kidderminster; role is office-based with frequent site visits. Full UK Driving License. May involve working outside regular business hours to meet project deadlines. Working Hours:
