We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and deliver multiple complex projects while building and maintaining strong customer and internal relationships. This role is ideal for someone with energy, enthusiasm, and excellent organisational and communication skills.

Role Purpose:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the planning, development, and delivery of projects while ensuring they meet customer expectations, budgets, and quality standards. You will also collaborate with and motivate teams to ensure smooth project execution from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Support business development activities, including preparing proposals for new projects. Mentor and guide junior or less experienced project managers. Maintain appropriate risk management records for live projects. Conduct project audits in collaboration with the QA Manager and address observations or non-conformances. Develop and nurture positive working relationships with customers and project teams. Plan and influence project delivery to achieve outstanding outcomes for customers. Allocate tasks to project team members in consultation with the Technical Lead, considering technical preferences and development goals. Proactively manage and adapt to project changes, enhancing customer experience. Monitor progress against time, budget, and resource forecasts, and provide regular updates. Manage project risks and opportunities and contribute to lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Key Attributes:

The ideal candidate will have: Minimum 3 years' experience in project management. A STEM background at degree level. Proven experience in customer engagement, including presentations and understanding requirements. Demonstrable ability to manage and motivate remote teams. Strong delegation skills and experience in proofreading reports. Experience managing external contracts, including change management. A track record of handling large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Familiarity with project management best practices for different project types and sizes. Experience in risk and opportunity management.

Desirable attributes include: Experience managing projects related to energy systems or networks. PM qualifications (e.g., Prince2, Agile, APM). Familiarity with MS Project. Experience in the energy sector or within a software/technical consulting business.
