£90,000 - £110,000 & Package

Our client is a prestigious main contractor continuously focused on building a strong culture that connects their people and drives their business. They are seeking to employ a new Senior Project Manager / Project Lead to come into the business and begin the tendering process to award and then deliver. This position has been identified due to exceptional demand from their clients at the present time.

Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate the following personality traits:

Displays commitment and accountability Shows initiative and adaptability Demonstrates time management, planning and organisation skills Has strong verbal & written communication skills and can easily build rapport Is innovative and has the ability to solve problems Demonstrates administration and financial skills

You will also need the following Qualifications or Experience: HNC/HND Qualifications in Building / Construction Management, Engineering, or industry experience of 10 years minimum 7+ years post graduate experience working on construction or fitout / refurbishment project.

Key Accountabilities of a Project Manager / Project Lead are not limited to:

Client/Stakeholder Relationships: Work towards creating a climate of mutual trust Completing the project in compliance with the clients / stakeholder expectations of time and quality Communicate internally any opportunities for client / stakeholder relationships

Profitability: Producing and approving cost reports Reviewing and approving progress claims Managing costs and exceeding project financial margin Managing variations and scope changes Design management and review of design against the project budget

Contracts Management: Managing head and subcontract conditions including overall responsibility for timely procurement of trades Approving sign-off of all subcontracts and supply agreements Preparing forms of contract for both head contract and subcontract for approval by Construction Manager/Commercial Manager. Ensuring appropriate control is in place

Project Planning: Managing project resources Determining project specific risks, goals and opportunities Determining and monitoring procurement program Ensuring that the organisational structure of the team meets the needs of the project Proactively seeking opportunities to improve overall project performance Leading and monitoring project completion activities

Quality: Establish and implement Project Management and Quality Assurance plans Ensuring appropriate level of quality is achieved (as per contract) Ensuring the right subcontractors are in place to deliver the required quality Managing design and documentation process (as applicable)

Staff Management: Conducting regular team meetings with staff Identifying any specialised training needs of staff Delegating tasks to the team to achieve most efficient outcomes Motivating staff to work as a team to achieve project objectives Mentoring staff to assist in career advancement, performance management, goal setting, etc.
