Your role will involve guiding project teams through every phase of the project life cycle, ensuring optimal business solutions for our clients. You'll collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internally and externally, to deliver projects to the highest standards. Your expertise will be pivotal in managing and assuring the performance of design and build contractors, ensuring project outcomes are achieved within cost, time, and quality parameters from design to commissioning.As part of our Programme and Project Management team, youll help deliver some of the biggest, most iconic projects imaginable, with some of the best talent around. The rate at which were seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations.Role accountabilities: Delivering sustainable financial out-performance against approved budgets Commercially managing all contract matters to achieve the optimal outcome. Developing and delivering an optimised project to achieve all regulatory, statutory, and internal outputs, deadlines, and targets. Delivering successful technical solutions that provide optimal value for money on a capital and whole life cost basis. Performance managing the service providers to ensure out-performance of service levels and value for money. Proactively managing Project risks and issues to minimise the final impact and maximise opportunities. Managing change and administering the contract for service providers. Ensure quality system and processes are complied with so outcomes meet all standards. Establish and promote a health, safety and& environmental culture achieve best practice in the safe and sustainable delivery of capital delivery projects. Embrace digital and sustainable solutions in day-to-day project delivery. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors degree or equivalent in relevant field Chartered status or working towards chartership Experience of successfully delivering portfolios of programmes or projects, ideally in the water sector. Strong commercial approach with a good level of contract knowledge & understanding. Able to build and manage key relationships with external stakeholders. Able to demonstrate exposure to risk decisions and highlight implications to minimise consequences to the project(s). Evidence of leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes Other requirements: Hybrid working with requirement for client travel between London and Reading areas (or Sussex, Hampshire and Kent for other clients)
